Judy Fabjance | co writer and performer
Judy is a graduate of Second City’s Training Center’s Conservatory, Comedy Writing and Acting Programs and IO. She has studied at The Annoyance Theater and Columbia College. She co-wrote and performs a one plus one woman cancer show based on her cancer journey called, “Tales of a Stage 4 Cancer.” She has been performing with for eighteen years and is a founding member of GayCo Productins. Other stage credits include: Second City Theatricals (Weddings of Mass Destruction), i.O. (Foam Treatment), The ComedySportz Family Matinee Series (The Paper Spaceship), Single Box Turn Productions (understudie Hope in Band Geeks and played drums in the oldy tyme band in Little House on the Parody), Sullacco Productions (Shadow of the Master; A Kung-Fu Musical Sequel), Anton Chekhov’s Bastard Child and Can I see some I.D.? (director). Film credits include the Independent film, Crushedand GayCo’s shorts, Get A Gay, Baby Time Share and Old Maid. Judy has been teaching Improvisation at The Second City since 1999. She also teaches and has taught at Emerald City Theatre Company, Chicago Comedy Company, CIF, Keshet, high schools, junior highs, After School Matters, Day Camps, Family Nights and corporate groups. Judy’s biggest accomplishment (aside from her wonderful seven year old daughter) has been surviving breast cancer since 2008.
Kelly Beeman | co-writer and producer
Kelly is very honored to have worked with Judy for this show. The only thing better than seeing your wife beat breast cancer is writing a show with her about it! Kelly is a graduate of Second City’s Writing and Beginning Improv programs, and the Conservatory Program. She is a former member of ComedySporz Genesis league. She co-wrote and performs in the one plus one woman show, “Tales of a Stage 4 Cancer.” She has written and performed with The Uncomfortables, All World Cowboys, and GayCo, along with solo improv performances. Professionally funny, Kelly writes and performs in training sketches for Motorola, Lambda Legal and Personal Pac. She was the host of the Gay Chicago TV network show “Among Girls.” Kelly couldn’t be more proud of Judy and loves her very much.
Amanda Murphy | music director
Amanda Murphy is a music director, composer, writer, and performer. She has worked in New York, Toronto and Chicago in both the comedy and musical theater worlds. She is currently on faculty at The Second City Training Center in Chicago, and music directs for Storytown at iO and for ComedySportz Chicago. Independent groups she has worked for include GayCo, The Alliance Theater Company, and Clown Car to Sicily, a musical improv team. She is the co-writer, composer, and a cast member of the musical Four Play, which ran at Studio Be in 2010 (BroadwayWorld.com award winner), and is MD and composer for Oprah! A Comedy! Live Your Best Laugh!,at the Annoyance. She was a member of Infinite Sundaes and SongCo, both SCTC ensembles. “It is a pleasure to work with Judy on this project.”
Angie McMahon | director
Angie is the Co-Owner and Executive Director of Under The Gun Theater and a faculty member of The Second City Chicago. Recent directing credits include “Comedy Against Humanity, a live show for horrible people”, “Quiver”, and “Tales of Stage Four Cancer”. She created the curriculum for “Producing 101” for Second City and directs Writing program graduation show for Second City as well. She is the head of the event committee for The Belmont Theater District and her 5th grade daughters room mom. She is a terrible room mom. Love to Hubby, Squeakers, and The Bug.
